Acupuncturists practicing in Michigan, who hold an appropriate NCCAOM license and are registered with the State of Michigan, are eligible for Supporter of Acupuncture membership. These are professional members who wish to support MiSA at a higher level than the basic subscription fee. Supporter of Acupuncture members are listed on the Find an Acupuncturist page of the MiSA website, and possess full rights and privileges as voting members of the association. The fee for this membership level is $500/year.

Acupuncturists practicing in Michigan, who hold an appropriate NCCAOM license and are registered with the State of Michigan, are eligible for professional membership. Professional members are listed on the Find an Acupuncturist page of the MiSA website, and possess full rights and privileges as voting members of the association. The “Introductory 1st Year Rate” option is a special discounted rate for new MiSA members. The fee for this membership level is $100/year, or $8.50/month.

Acupuncturists practicing in Michigan, who hold an appropriate NCCAOM license and are registered with the State of Michigan, are eligible for professional membership. Professional members are listed on the Find an Acupuncturist page of the MiSA website, and possess full rights and privileges as voting members of the association. The “Introductory 2nd Year Rate” option is a special discounted rate for those beginning their 2nd year of MiSA membership. The fee for this membership level is $150/year, or $12.50/month.

Students actively studying acupuncture in an ACAOM-accredited school or apprenticing with an acupuncturist with at least ten years of experience are eligible for student membership. Student Members have the right to attend all general meetings and serve on committees. Student Members possess rights and privileges as non-voting members. This is a free membership, which expires after 1 year. Students may re-enroll at this membership level each year until they start professional practice.

An Allied Health Professional is a health care practitioner who supports the goals and ideals of the MISA. An Allied Health Professional will receive any newsletters, announcements, and information published by the Association and possesses non-voting membership privileges for such services provided by the Association to its membership. A member may serve on committees, but may not serve as a Director or Committee Chairperson. The fee for this membership level is $100/year.

An Out-of-State Professional Member must be a licensed or NCCAOM Board-Certified acupuncturist, but not licensed to practice in Michigan. An Out-of-State Professional Member may not hold office, may not vote, may not serve as a committee chair, but may serve on committees. An Out-of-State Professional Member possesses reduced rights and privileges as may be specified by the Board of Directors. The fee for this membership level is $100/year.
