How do these buttons work?

When you click on the button for a payment plan (which PayPal also calls a subscription), you will be presented with a secure checkout form on the PayPal website, where you will be asked for billing and contact information. If you don't already have a PayPal account, you will be guided through creating one (this step is optional when making a one-time donation via the Donate button). After filling out the form, you will be returned to michiganacupuncture.org. That's all there is to it.

The account that you created will allow you to log in to PayPal at any time and view, modify, or cancel your subscription.

What amount(s) can I give?

We have provided buttons for specific amounts from $25 to $1000, plus a button for a single (non-repeating) donation of any amount you specify. If you'd like to choose some other subscription amount or donate at a different interval (such as bi-monthly), we can provide you a customized donation link; for assistance please contact the webmaster.

What forms of payment can I use?

PayPal accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. You can also arrange to have funds drawn directly from your bank account.

What kind of receipt will I get?

PayPal will send you an email confirmation of every transaction. Your credit card statement will indicate "PAYPAL * MAAOM" and the donation amount. Through your PayPal account preferences you can also choose to receive email confirmation of each monthly charge thereafter.

How safe is this?

Contributing to MAAOM through PayPal is comparable to using your credit card at a local store. PayPal provides fraud protection for customers, and does not share your financial information with anyone else (including us). If you receive confirmation of a transaction you don't recognize, PayPal will help you sort out the situation.

How much of my donation goes directly to MAAOM?

PayPal takes 2.9% of each transaction, plus thirty cents.

How do I modify or cancel a payment plan?

To change the amount of a subscription, click on the button on the Contributors' page that shows the desired donation amount. You will be asked to log in to the PayPal website, where you can approve or cancel the change.

To cancel a subscription, click on the Cancel button on the Contributors' page, or go directly to PayPal and log in to your account. Once logged in, you can view the details of your subscription and cancel it if you wish.
