NOTICE OF SECOND PUBLIC HEARING
BOARD OF ACUPUNCTURE – GENERAL RULES
9:00 a.m. at the Department of Community Health,
Ottawa Building, 611 West Ottawa, Conference Room 3,
Upper Level, Lansing, Michigan.
The second public hearing is being held to receive comments from interested persons on establishing in administrative rules requirements for registration as an acupuncturist, pursuant to Public Act 30 of 2006, which amended the Public Health Code to provide for the registration of acupuncturists and to regulate the practice of acupuncture. The proposed rules will establish the requirements for registration as an acupuncturist in Michigan.
These rules are being promulgated under the authority of sections of 16145 and 16501 et seq. of 1978 PA 368, MCL 333.16145 and MCL 333.16501 et seq. and Executive Reorganization Order Nos. 1996-1, 1996-2 and 2003-1, MCL 330.3101, 445.2001 and 445.2011. The rules will take effect immediately upon filing with the Secretary of State, unless specified otherwise in the rules.
Comments on the proposed rules may be presented in person at the public hearing. Written comments may be submitted at the time of presentation and also will be accepted until Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. at the following address or E-mail address:
